Principal Report, Aynor Middle School

• 8th grade dance was this past Friday and was a wonderful night.
• Spring Fine Arts Concerts have been completed and were fantastic!
• Reader’s Theater at AES, and recent visits to both our elementary schools for our rising 6th grade students. 
• The school board recently visited.
• The 6th grade trip to Wonderworks was a fun experience.
• Congrats to our HTC REEL Kids! They celebrated with a trip to Medieval Times. 
• Fine Arts had a widely successful trip to Universal Orlando.
• Battle of the Books placed third in the district competition. Recently they had their field trip.
• Congratulations to Ms. Troglauer on her article "The Power of Mantras in the Music Classroom" being published in Teaching Music magazine for April 2026! 
• Our FFA students won at the state level tool competition, and state champs in the WHEP/Wildlife competition.
• We had several students compete in the HCS Tech Fair for projects in STEM and this with art as well.
• Completed spring iReady testing and had ice cream and recess for those who met their goals.
• State testing begins with SC Ready Writing and Reading this week, and SC Ready Science, SC Ready Math, English I, Geometry finals next week. 
• Literacy Under the Lights event on May 21st.
• Celebration for the pages read in Beanstack this year on May 22nd. 
• May 29th end of the year celebration, field day, and cook out. 
• End of the year awards ceremonies on June 2-3. 
• Reviewing and finalizing our bell schedule for next year.
