The following were selected to perform with the All-County Orchestra this year: Joey Skipper, Joey O’Neil, Bethany Odom, Grace Dollar and Mariah Klein.

The following students were selected to perform with the All-County Band this year: Danielle Spencer, Mariah Klein, and Tina Searcy.

Danielle Spencer and Tina Searcy made the All-Region Band this year encompassing Horry, Georgetown, Berkely, Marion, Florence, Marlboro, Clarendon, Chesterfield, Darlington, and Sumter Counties.  This is a big honor and we are very proud.

Congratulations to 7th grader Danielle Spencer who was named as the first alternate for the All-State Band.  This is the first student we have EVER had in Aynor Middle School or high school history to make All-State band.  She will attend the clinic, rehearse with the band, and if one clarinet player does not show up, she will be performing with the All-State band on the concert.  The clinic is March 9-11th 2012 at Furman University in Greenville, SC.  The concert is Sunday, March 11th at 4 pm.

Ten students have art displayed at the District Office; they are Jacob Ambrose, Logan Carter, Zach McKenith, Christian Riddle, and Holden Turner.  Just added to that list are Hannah Pendergrass, Bailey Richardson, Walker Spivey, Chris Dinkins, and Max Roberts.  Stop by the District Office and see their work displayed in the halls.

Our Geography Bee winner is Joey Skipper; the alternate is Kailey Archibald.  Both are eighth grade students.  Congratulations to these two!
